Seminar - Sharing the Gospel

Seminar - Sharing the Gospel

Pastor Rod is leading a seminar on our new sermon series, “Sharing the Gospel.” Sunday nights from November 5th to the 19th, from 6pm-7pm. We hope to see you there!

Who hasn’t felt the inner tug of the heart to share the good news of Jesus with a friend, family member, co-worker or neighbor? I’m sure we all have. We know the love of Jesus for ourselves and we know he loves our friends too, but we find it hard to talk about Jesus with them. Why is that? If you’d like to talk about this come out to our three part seminar on “developing significant relationships with people far from Jesus” on Nov. 5th, 12th and 19th, from 6-7pm at Sardis Fellowship. We will talk about things like, “What counts as sharing the gospel?” What are the “guts” of the gospel? & “How to have a spiritual conversation with a friend who doesn’t yet know Jesus?” This is all a part of our vision at Sardis Fellowship to be a “loving, just, visible, & transformative presence in our local community.” Centred in Christ, visible in community, transforming our world! To the Glory of God!

LiftOff - Qwanoes Youth Retreat

LiftOff - Qwanoes Youth Retreat

The Qwanoes LiftOff Youth Retreat is Open for Registration!

Join us for a fantastic weekend retreat at Camp Qwanoes on Vancouver Island from November 4th - 6th! This weekend is going to be an absolute blast!

There will be delicious camp food, epic All-Star games, worship, and more! Camp Qwanoes has laser tag, the Skyscraper and Sky Station, the Screamer (a massive 80ft swing!) and so much more.

Why go to LiftOff? The LiftOff retreat is a huge win for 3 reasons: 1. Your student will remember this event as a highlight with all the fun they’re going to have! 2. LiftOff is centered on calling students to personally take their faith to the next level! 3. Youth Retreats are such a great opportunity for personal growth and community development! Getting away with friends and leaders for even just a few days can really help them form deeper relationships and make lasting connections!

Who can attend: The LiftOff youth retreat is open to all grades 8-12 students.

Cost: The Cost for the LiftOff retreat is $149 + tax, (ferry included) all of which is payable directly to camp Qwanoes when you register on their website.

Transportation: Any students attending that are connected to our youth group will be taking a bus together leaving from Sardis Fellowship Baptist Church on Friday, Nov. 4th at no later than 3:00pm. Pickup will be at the church on Sunday, November 6th at 6:30pm. There is no additional cost to parents for the bus.

Additional Information:

Registration is on a first-come-first serve basis. That said, we have spots for camp that have been reserved for people from our church. Those spots will become available to anyone as of Friday, October 28th so be sure to sign up right away.

We recognize that youth retreats are expensive. Cost can be a barrier that would prevent a parent from registering their student, and we want to help lower that barrier, so if your family would like assistance in sending their student to camp, do not hesitate to contact Youth Director Richard. We have had generous people in our congregation donate specifically to help sponsor students to go on this retreat, so know that help is available.

For any other general information on Qwanoes or the event, you can also go to camp Qwanoes’ website by clicking the button below:

Youth, join us for a classic youth event of staying up all night having a blast! We will have a variety of activities going all night including video games, movies, and great youth games like hallway dodgeball! Some light snacks will be provided during the night, but breakfast will not be provided. There is a waiver that will need to be filled out. You can follow the link below or fill one out at the event.
