David Lee, Senior Pastor
Emily and I came to Sardis Fellowship in 2002 from Briercrest College and Seminary, where I was a professor. We think Chilliwack is great. We love the vision of Sardis Fellowship to connect every person to a vital relationship with God in Christ and respond in a compassionate and generous manner to the needs of the world around us. Probably my favourite thing to do is teaching the Bible—showing how timeless truths find real life expression in our world. Em and I love our 5 children, their wonderful spouses and our awesome grandchildren. We love hiking, canoeing, camping, and being outdoors with our 2 dogs as often as possible.
Rod Heppell, Pastor of Community Life & Care
We love living in the Upper Fraser Valley where you get a touch of city life in the middle of country living! Moving here in 2004, Anne and I found Chilliwack to be a great place to sink down roots and raise our 4 teenage kids. The incredible beauty of green grass fields, with rivers and streams, surrounded by mountains makes us feel a hint of guilt for being called by God to serve here! Sardis Fellowship is an amazing church family where the love of Christ and the grace of God are shared generously. We invite you to join us, you’ll love it here!
Rob Shauf, Youth Pastor & Diana Shauf, Office Administrator
Since the spring of 2012, I (Rob) have been working at Sardis as the Youth Pastor. It is my desire to see students grow in their walk with Christ, to love and serve God, and to love and serve others. My wife Diana and I met at Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford, got married in 2011, and are now parents to two beautiful girls, Josie and Faye. I like to draw, make music, blog, act (poorly), animate, and play tennis. Diana enjoys cooking, photography, and being a wife and Mom. Diana has worked in the Church Office since the spring of 2015 as part-time Office Administrator and really enjoys it!
Chris Goodall, Pastor of Discipleship
My passion is to help people grow in their faith through teaching, mentoring, connecting and caring for them. My wife Ruth and I love family time hosting our children, their spouses, and our five grandchildren for BBQ's, family meals or any other time they want to visit. Ruth and I enjoy golfing together and meeting new people on the various courses we play. Our newest recreational enjoyment is flat water kayaking on all the amazing lakes in BC, enjoying each as we travel around on day or camping trips. We would like to welcome you to Sardis Fellowship Baptist Church.
Tim Voth, Worship Director
Jenna and I have been at Sardis Fellowship for a few years now and have been given opportunities to serve in different roles. I’ve been involved in the area of Worship Arts and in the past Jenna has given oversight to the various kids’ ministries. We were both born and raised in Chilliwack and have been married for 4 years. We love to go for walks at the river and appreciate the beauty of the outdoors. We also enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, playing chess and scrabble and going for impromptu ice cream runs. We have a desire to see people engage in meaningful worship with our God and grow in the knowledge of him from an early age.
Carol Hendricks, Sardis Kids Coordinator
My husband and I moved to Chilliwack in 2005 and started attending Sardis Fellowship Baptist in early 2006. We have 3 children, whom I school at home. I love art, drama and books! I started as Sardis Kids Coordinator in August 2016. There is nothing that excites me more than to see children learning to love God and joyfully serve Him.
Ryan Heppell, Intern of Youth
I'm Ryan Heppell, the Youth Intern at Sardis Fellowship! I just finished my fourth year at Briercrest College, where I am working towards becoming a teacher. I enjoy hiking, fishing, playing soccer, skiing, listening to music, and most of all reading. I have a passion for working with kids and helping to develop their faith, and aspire to be an author one day. I love telling stories and making people laugh, and hope to do so with books.
