Come out for an info night on Tuesday September 16th from 7PM-8PM, where we'll be walking through material by John Ortberg. Enjoy fellowship, snacks, and ask your questions to see if this group might be exactly what you need right now.

Men and their sons (12+) are invited to come out to Coalmont for a weekend of fellowship and fun. This is a great way to connect with other men in the life of our church for mutual encouragement in our walk with God through study, discussion, testimonies, food, and fun in God's creation.
What is the cost? To cover some fuel and food, the cost is $30/person/day for a total of $90 if you plan to attend the whole weekend.
Arrival/Departure: Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to/from the retreat, although carpooling can likely be arranged. We know everyone has different schedules, so arrive anytime that works for you on Friday afternoon (Most head out after work). Attend for the whole weekend, or just one day. It’s up to you. We plan to wrap up on Sunday afternoon. Please note there is no cell or internet service at the cabin.
What are the accommodations? Rustic cabin accommodations are provided, but please plan to bring your own bedding. Those who sign up first will get preferred beds, and we will do our best to accommodate everyone who signs up. Also, please plan to pitch in with cleaning or the kitchen at some point during the weekend.
Do I need to own a quad to attend? No. There are lots of quads and side-by-sides on site for use and to share, but you are welcome to bring your own ride if you prefer.

Join us for a day of prayer and fasting on December 2nd. You can choose to participate in this day of prayer however you would like, wherever you find yourself.
As an initiative to increase our dependency on the Spirit, and seeking God to do a transformative work in and through Sardis Fellowship, we set aside the first day of the month to fast and pray. We know not everyone is able to do this in the same way, or to the same degree, so we ask you to consider how you can make this work for you.
Each month we highlight something to focus on, whether that be in the life of our church family, our local community or world. Sometimes we have specific things for you to pray through and sometimes we just give you the focus and allow God’s Spirit to guide you in your prayer time around that topic.
If we as a church family want to see the transformative power of God at work in our lives, the lives of our loved ones, and the community we live in, then we need to seek Him in prayer. I trust you’ll join us each month. Pastor Rod Heppell.

Our focus this month will be praying for the start up of our Alpha program. Pray for the people joining the program as well as the volunteers and people leading the course. Pray for the people to be able to dive deep and learn more about the love of God.

The word discipline may cause many of us to recoil. It sounds too much like the cough syrup which boasts, “It tastes awful. And it works.” In this evening seminar we will explore the spiritual disciplines and see that although requiring attentiveness and commitment, they enable us to experience joy and growth in our walk with God. I think you will agree, they are much better than that famous cough syrup. So come on out and enjoy some coffee, tea, home-made desserts, learning and table discussion together.

Come out to hear Jennifer Gamache share about Safe Families, a ministry in the Lower Mainland that we would love to partner with as we believe it is right in line with the mission and vision of Sardis Fellowship. This ministry seeks to surround families in crisis with caring, compassionate community. She is going to share in the Sunday morning service and will have information available in the foyer afterwards.
