Join us for a fun youth drop-in night on August 5 2026 at 7:00-9:00pm at the church! All youth grade 6-12 (and if you’re going into grade 6 in September, you can come too!) are invited to come! There will be some fun games, snacks, and an overall good time to hangout. Bring some friends too!

Young Adults - Lake & BBQ

August 3rd at 2:00 PM: Hicks Lake for Swimming and Canoeing, as well as a BBQ dinner. There will be 1 canoe provided but feel free to bring your own canoes, kayaks, floaties, paddle boards, etc. BBQ dinner will be provided. Please email Devin at mdevin197@gmail.com if you are planning to attend so enough food can be planned.

Be at Hicks Lake main public beach parking lot for 2:00 or meet at the church at 1:00 for carpooling (as it is a 45 minute drive from the church).

Fraser Valley Gleaners - Youth Service Event

Join us for a morning of food preparation delivered across the world!

Date and Time: Wednesday, July 29th, 2026 from 9:00am - 12:00pm
Where: Meet us at Sardis Fellowship Baptist church at 8:15 and we will arrange rides there. We will arrive at Fraser Valley Gleaners (85 Winson Rd. Abbotsford, BC) at 9:00am.
Who: All youth ages 12 and up are invited to serve!

Because of the limited space available at the facility, we can only bring a maximum of 15 youth to Fraser Valley Gleaners, so be sure to register soon! 

Snacks will be provided mid-morning and students will return home for lunch!

Serving at Ruth & Naomi’s: July 13th, 2026

Ruth and Naomi's Mission is "transforming the lives of people experiencing homelessness, poverty, or struggling with addiction by bringing hope and healing through the love of God."

Sardis Fellowship has the opportunity to serve a meal at Ruth and Naomi’s every second Monday of the month from 5:45-7:15pm. We will be serving the food and cleaning up afterwards and need a max of 7 volunteers per night who are 16 years or older.

Ruth and Naomi’s is located at 41630 Margaret Avenue. Arrive at 5:45pm and go to the smaller office building not the multi-story housing building. The Hall Entrance has a white canopy over it and once inside talk to the RAN host. The host will show you where you are to serve and what needs to be done. Enjoy time serving and visiting with people, then helping with taking down tables and cleaning up. Clean up is usually finished by 7:15pm.

Soccer Camp Volunteer Training Night

There is a mandatory volunteer training night on June 30th at 7-9PM for volunteers serving as Team Leaders, Team Helpers, Field Hosts, First Aid, Security, or Bathroom Monitors as these roles work directly with children and require “Plan to Protect” policy training for child and volunteer safety.

If you are the head person overseeing Kitchen & Hospitality, Set Up Crews, Kid Central, or Take Aim, you are also required to attend the training night.

Let us know if attending the training night on June 30th is impossible for you. Volunteers who are not overseeing these areas and are not working directly with children are not required to attend this meeting.

Afternoon Adventures is an after-school program for kids at Evans Elementary that Sardis Fellowship serves at each week. Thursday, June 4th from 3:30-5pm at Evans Elementary School is the year end wrap-up party, and we need volunteers!

Afternoon Adventures is wrapping up their time at Evans Elementary with a fun celebration with the kids in the program. There will an ice-cream truck, field games, and hanging out with the families. Come help set up and be a visible presence in our local community.
