Since its beginnings in 2013 Voice of Hope seeks to improve the quality of life for impoverished widows and orphans in Kenya with our focus on creating lasting relationships. We seek to encourage our widowed ladies spiritually, physically and emotionally with the Word of God and facilitating opportunities for them to have better everyday lives.

Life goes on during COVID…And for some life comes with hunger and devastation. During this pandemic the world’s poorest have experienced increased hunger and want as contributions for world relief have decreased. It has been termed the “Hunger Virus”. As a Voice of Hope Team we plan to continue to do our part to help alleviate the pressing and ongoing needs, focusing on our widows and orphans in Kenya. Our widows and orphans need us and we are rising with renewed zeal to assist with their daily needs. You can all be a part of this! Our next fundraising event is a Garage Sale planned for:

Saturday, June 19th at 7350 Barrow Road

Like last year we will practice COVID health measures.

You can help by:

>Donating your gently used-unwanted items.

>Volunteering (To be added to our awesome volunteer list, just let Mary Anne or Sue know at m_westeringh@hotmail.com or 604-316-1204.) Even an hour or two is appreciated!

>Beginning Wednesday, April 21 items can be dropped off at 7350 Barrow Road. (No clothing, please.)
If you require your items picked up, Mary Anne or Sue will gladly assist with that. Contact them at m_westeringh@hotmail.com or 604-316-1204.

>Come on out and shop on Saturday, June 19! We will again have a fabulous bbq hotdog lunch and coffee and other refreshments too.

Last year this Garage Sale brought in $17,000 - much more than we had even hoped for! The atmosphere felt like a good old-fashioned country market and was enjoyed by all.

We hope our Church and community will be able to support this cause, however we are able.

If you would like, you can follow updates from Voice of Hope on their Facebook Page.
