David Lee, Senior Pastor

Emily and I came to Sardis Fellowship in 2002 from Briercrest College and Seminary, where I was a professor.  We think Chilliwack is great.  We love the vision of Sardis Fellowship to connect every person to a vital relationship with God in Christ and respond in a compassionate and generous manner to the needs of the world around us.  Probably my favourite thing to do is teaching the Bible—showing how timeless truths find real life expression in our world.  Em and I love our 5 children, their wonderful spouses and our awesome grandchildren. We love hiking, canoeing, camping, and being outdoors with our 2 dogs as often as possible.

Rod Heppell, Pastor of Community Life & Care

We love living in the Upper Fraser Valley where you get a touch of city life in the middle of country living! Moving here in 2004, Anne and I found Chilliwack to be a great place to sink down roots and raise our 4 teenage kids. The incredible beauty of green grass fields, with rivers and streams, surrounded by mountains makes us feel a hint of guilt for being called by God to serve here! Sardis Fellowship is an amazing church family where the love of Christ and the grace of God are shared generously. We invite you to join us, you’ll love it here!

Rob Shauf, Youth Pastor & Diana Shauf, Office Administrator

Since the spring of 2012, I (Rob) have been working at Sardis as the Youth Pastor. It is my desire to see students grow in their walk with Christ, to love and serve God, and to love and serve others. My wife Diana and I met at Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford, got married in 2011, and are now parents to two beautiful girls, Josie and Faye.  I like to draw, make music, blog, act (poorly), animate, and play tennis.  Diana enjoys cooking, photography, and being a wife and Mom.  Diana has worked in the Church Office since the spring of 2015 as part-time Office Administrator and really enjoys it!

Tim Voth, Worship Director

My wife Jenna and I have been coming to Sardis fellowship since 2012 and have loved it here. We were both born and raised in Chilliwack and have been married since 2011. We have two wonderful boys - Ben and Micah - that are full of energy. As a family we love going for walks and bike rides, taking picnics to the river, and impromptu ice cream runs. I enjoy reading and writing, woodworking in my garage (so amateur), recording music, and having good discussions with friends. I’ve been involved in Worship Arts here since 2013. I became the Worship Director here at Sardis in 2018 and I love it; I love seeing people’s lives transformed when they get to experience God through music. I am also currently doing a Master of Arts in Christian Studies at Northwest Baptist Seminary.

Carol HendricksSardis Kids Coordinator

My husband and I moved to Chilliwack in 2005 and started attending Sardis Fellowship Baptist in early 2006.  We have 3 children, whom I school at home.  I love art, drama and books!  I started as Sardis Kids Coordinator in August 2016.  There is nothing that excites me more than to see children learning to love God and joyfully serve Him.

Thank you for the prayerful support you have given to our leadership as we have been seeking God’s wisdom for the future pastoral staff of Sardis Fellowship. We are excited to share with you that through a patient and prayerful process, God has led us to what we believe His plan is for filling the pastoral ministry roles of our Church Family. Following the Worship Service on April 7th 2019, there was a presentation outlining more detailed information about the future roles and the stories of how God has led us to have three associate pastors, Rob Shauf overseeing Disciple Making, Tim Voth overseeing Family Life and Eugene Braila overseeing Administration in a part time role. As part of this presentation, these three men recorded their video testimonies and answered questions about their being called into further pastoral ministry. They are posted here, in case you missed them!
