Em and I are deeply committed to our 5 children, their wonderful spouses and our awesome grandchildren. We love
hiking, canoeing, camping, and being outdoors with our 2 dogs as often as possible. I love teaching the Bible -
showing how timeless truths find real life expression in our world. I live for those "Ah hah, I get it!" moments -
when a person takes a vital step toward God.

I love doing things with my family; fishing at the lake, playing sports, or just being out in the garden pulling weeds.
Anne and I love this community and sense that God has us in a role at Sardis Fellowship that suits who we are. One of the
things that brings me great joy is when I am able to assist a person in finding their place of service in God's kingdom
that brings them joy. It seems to me that as we work together to honour God, that He in turn blesses us with purpose & peace
in life.

Jake and I moved to Chilliwack from Dawson Creek in April of 2002. Jake is retired from the RCMP so we have lived in
many communities in BC over the years. We love Chilliwack and Sardis Fellowship Baptist Church. When
we arrived in Chilliwack we chose SFBC as our church home because we found this to be a warm, friendly place to
worship. We have 4 married children and 7 wonderful grandchildren and consider ourselves truly blessed. We take enormous
pleasure in spending time with our children and grandchildren- spoiling the grandchildren whenever possible.
I am thrilled to be part of the staff, supporting the wonderful Christ honoring ministries found in Sardis Fellowship Baptist Church.

I recently graduated from Columbia Bible College and enjoy serving at Sardis Fellowship. My favourite
part of this position, by far, is working with others to get the music and drama up and running for the summer
VBS program; this passion is followed closely by his "second ministry love", which is writing bios in the
3rd person for your reading enjoyment. Seriously though, I feel blessed to be able to serve in the way I do,
and I really enjoy praising God and working along side everyone on the worship teams.

My wife and I enjoy traveling and golfing together which we find is a wonderful way to stay connected in this
busy culture. We enjoy spending time hosting our children, their spouses, and our granddaughters for BBQ's and
family meals, or any time they want to visit. I have a passion to help people grow in their faith through teaching,
mentoring, connecting, and caring for them.
